Many people find that achieving and maintaining the smile that you desire requires multiple dental procedures. There are two ways to approach it when you have multiple procedures that need to be done: you can have them performed in combination or as a phased treatment.

How We Determine What You Need

When you become a new patient at Beyond Exceptional Dentistry, we will conduct a new patient exam. This includes both an interview with you and a comprehensive examination of the state of your mouth.

Then we will make a treatment plan that tackles both current issues and heads off developing problems. The goal is to not just to keep your mouth from being unhealthy, but to ensure it is healthy and remains healthy–perhaps healthier than its ever been. We’re also trying to make sure it’s attractive and functional. The treatment plan will be designed to help you meet all your goals, and address all our concerns about your oral health.

Benefits of Combined Treatment

In general, we will recommend that you have your treatment done in a combined form. This refers to having multiple procedures performed at once. This allows us to ensure the procedures get done in the minimum amount of time, restoring your smile as quickly as possible.

It also means that you get the procedures accomplished with as little investment of your time as possible. With combined treatments, you might spend more time in our office per visit, but overall the time necessary is reduced. Combined procedures are especially efficient because we don’t have to worry about the effects of dysfunction in one part of your mouth causing damage in another because it hasn’t been fixed yet.

Sedation dentistry is great for this. It allows you to get longer dental procedures performed at once, and you might hardly notice the time.

Benefits of Phased Treatment

Combined treatment isn’t for everyone. Phased treatment might be better for you if you have limited funds and need to address issues one at a time. However, for many people, third party financing can also help make your dental treatment affordable.

Phased dental treatment may also be good if you’re not prepared to commit to the entire treatment plan. You can try out one or two procedures and see the great results so that you are prepared to get the rest of your treatment.

Don’t Wait to Get Started

Even with combined treatment, it takes time to get your final results from cosmetic dentistry. But the sooner you contact us, the sooner we can get started.
